Suppose 2000 bacteria are present at time t=0. Then t minutes later, the number of bacteria present wil be N(t)=2000(2)^t/30.

Find the number of bacteria present at 15 and 90 minutes

N(t)=4000(2)t/30(squared) bacteria after 15 min. = 4000(2)*(15/30)squared

 = 8000*1/4

= 2000

 

after 90 min.      4000(2) * (90/30)squared

= 8000*3

=24000
