Problema Solution

the length of a retangular frame is 53cm. for what widths would the perimeter be greater than 160cm

Answer provided by our tutors

Length of recangular frame =L= 53 cm;

Let the width= W;

Perimeter= 2(L+W)=2(53 + W)

If perimeter > 160 cm

then 2(53+W)>160

or 53+W>80

or W>80-53

or W>27 cm

If width is greater than 27 cm then perimeter greater than 160 cm
