In five years, the son will be x + 5
In five years, the man will be 7x+5
We know that the son's age in five years is equal to five times the man's age in five years, so...
5 (x + 5) = 7x + 5
Multiply.
5X + 25 = 7x + 5
20 = 2x
x = 10
Son is ten now. Man is 70.
In five years, 15 and 75.
