therefore,total cost for 1 day=$(30+40.25x)
for easy car rental,
$45 per day+ 0.10 per mile
therefore,total cost for 1 day=$(45+0.10x)
now,30+40.25x=45+0.10x
=>(40.25-0.10)x=45-30
=>40.15x=15
=>x=15/40.15
=>x=0.37 mile
