The surface area of a box is 142 square centimeters. The length of
the base is 2 centimeters longer than its width. The height of the
box is 2 centimeters less than the width of the base. Find the
dimensions of the box.

Let the width is x cm, then length = (x+2) and width = x-2
Hence
x(x-2)(x+2) = 142
x=5.
Hence width = 5cm, lenght = 7cm and height = 3cm
