There are 480 swans in a pond. They are increasing in population by 5% every six months. How many swans will there be in 5 years?
Answer provided by our tutors
5 per cent of 480 = 24
So there will be an increase of 48 in a year.
So after 5 years there will be = 5 * 48 more swans = 240
