Multiplying and Dividing Fractions
• Before you multiply , reduce the fractions as
much as possible (if you can divide the top of
any fraction and the bottom of any other
fraction or the same fraction then do so). Then
multiply :
Example
1. Rewrite as Multiplication by flipping the
second fraction (this is called the reciprocal )
2. Reduce as Much as Possible
3. Multiply the Two Fractions
