Problema Solution

The water pressure on a scuba diver is directly proportional to the depth of the diver. If the pressure on a diver is 13.5 psi when she is 30 feet below the surface, how far below the surface will she be when the pressure is 22.5 psi?

Answer provided by our tutors

pressure p = k*d where k is costant

k = p/d = 13.5/30

when p = 22.5

d = p/k = 22.5*30/13.5 = 50feet
